César Álvarez Bermúdez

B.Sc. in Energy Engineering (2015) at University of Vigo and M.Sc. in Energy Engineering (2020) specialized in Renewable Energy at Technical University of Madrid (UPM). Full-Time Research Engineer at the GTE-UVigo in the fields of CFD simulation of biomass gasification and combustion systems and thermal analysis. Currently Ph.D. student in the inter-university doctoral program in Energy Efficiency and Sustainability in Engineering and Architecture, studying fouling processes in biomass combustion systems by CFD simulation.

Raquel Pérez-Orozco

Currently working as experimental researcher on the field of solid-fuel combustion processes, being specialized in the characterization and reduction of particulate matter emissions.

Juan Jesús Rico Fuentes

B.Sc. in Energy Engineering (2018) and M.Sc. in Mining Engineering (2020), both by the University of Vigo, including a six-month stay at the Hochschule Flensburg. Currently working as a full time researcher on the fields of biomass combustion and reduction of pollutants.

Natalia Cid Rodríguez

B.Sc. in Energy Engineering (2016), M.Sc. in Energy and Sustainability (2017), both from University of Vigo. Currently pursuing the Ph.D. from the same institution. Experimental research focused on biomass combustion in small-scale devices and emissions minimization.

Ana Larrañaga Janeiro

B.Sc. in Energy Engineering at University of Vigo (2019), including a seven-month stay as staff researcher in the Department of Energy and Process Engineering at NTNU (Norway). M.Sc. in Industrial Mathematics (M2i) (specialty in Numerical Simulation) jointly delivered by the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), University of A Coruña (UDC), University of Vigo (UVigo), Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M) and Technical University of Madrid (UPM) (2021). Predoctoral Researcher working on Data Mining and Artificial Intelligence applied on diverse ongoing research projects, and also on CFD simulations of biofuel combustion.

Javier Blanco Rodríguez

B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (2016) and M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering (2018) at University of Vigo. Working at GTE as research engineer since 2018, in charge of simulation models development (GT-Suite and Converge CFD) to optimize oil and gasoline formulations for Repsol motorsport.

Lorena Sampedro Oliveira

B.Sc. in Energy Engineering (2016) by the University of Vigo and M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering by Polytechnical University of Valencia (2019). Currently working on an investigation to improve high performance lubricants and fuels for competition engines in a partnership between University of Vigo and Repsol Company.

Javier Pereiro Matalobos

Full-time PhD researcher currently pursuing an inter-university Doctoral Program in Energy Efficiency and Sustainability in Engineering and Architecture at the University of Vigo. Working field: Use of simulation and model calibration technics to improve the modelling of lighting scenes and assess the actual lighting conditions of a road.

Sandra Martínez Mariño

Francisco Troncoso Pastoriza
